2025 Communications Student Summit
Wednesday, March 26, 11 to 4 p.m., Acrisure Stadium
The Pittsburgh Steelers Communications Department would like to invite you to join us for our 2025 Communications Student Summit on Wednesday, March 26, from 11 to 4 p.m. Registration begins at 9:45 a.m. and there will be a 30-minute networking session following the presentation. This event will take place at Acrisure Stadium, however, we will also host those unable to attend in-person, virtually via zoom. A lite breakfast will be provided for in-person attendees from 10-11 a.m. and we will break for lunch from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
During this event, the Steelers’ communications staff will engage with students on a wide range of topics related to NFL PR and Communications as well as tips on how to become an attractive candidate for teams and prospective employers. Students will have an opportunity to converse with the staff and ask questions, as well as hear from guest panelists, which will be announced soon!
This event is for juniors, seniors and grad students only.

Summer Internship Opportunities
Summer Internship Experience Fund (SIEF)
Deadline: May 2
The SIEF is available to current undergraduate students who have secured an off-campus, low paying or unpaid internship located in the United States. This needs-based grant aims to help offset expenses incurred during internships. Students can submit applications beginning Feb. 1. Completed applications (students have met with their consultant AND submitted an application) will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until all funding has been awarded. The final deadline for SIEF application submissions is May 2. More Information can be found on the SIEF website with questions directed to Career and Professional Development Center.
The Peter C. Dozzi Pittsburgh Internship Initiative (Dozzi)
Deadline: May 2
This fund is open to current undergraduates who have secured a low-paying or unpaid summer internship within the Pittsburgh region. The application opens on February 1 and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The final deadline for applications is May 2. Undergraduate Summer Internship 99-412
(1 unit, tuition free)
Deadline: May 9
Available to undergraduate students whose internship sites require credit bearing enrollment for eligibility. The internship is for elective credit only and must be unpaid. This is not eligible for CPT. Two forms are required prior to enrollment – one from the student (pdf) and one from the employer (pdf).
Unpaid Internship Course Tuition Support Program
Deadline: June 1
Any CMU graduate or undergraduate student with a verified, unpaid summer internship and enrolled in a companion, 3 unit, departmental internship or practicum course is eligible to apply for funding to offset a portion of the tuition cost of that course. Applications will be reviewed and accepted on a first come, first served basis up to the capacity of available funding. Tuition support is contingent upon completion of the approved unpaid internship and course requirements. This program will provide one free unit of credit.
